I have a friend who is still sporting a Real Live Northstar Advantage (one dead drive, though) and is likely to come onto a Hayes modem. He had a home-written program buuuut it had NOT even been tested and it is full of bugs. He has the serial card, connected to his printer, and he simply wants to use it for a

I have tried installing a number of shareware modem sharing programs but to no avail. Can anyone out there recommend a dos shared modem server program that will work well with Windows 95 client programs, especially one that will allow me to re-map an entire Windows 95 com port to a modem on a remote machine?

Modem Programs
The modem program that I'm using is pretty outdated. Does anybody know a FTP site that has some good modem programs??? My Amiga has been collecting dust for some time, so I don't know what's currently available. The modem that I have hooked up to my Amiga is a FAX modem (ZOOM). I'm really satisfied with it.

Then I start noticing that with every program, when it goes to OPEN COM, an error comes back saying "Device Error Timeout," or something to that effect. Mind you, this is not a program bug. I've tried five different programs, and they all stop at OPEN COM. So, I went back to my commercial modem programs.
